Free Insulation grants are available to private households where anyone is aged 70 and above or anyone is in receipt of certain benefits, tax credits or allowances. All other home owners and private tenants will still qualify for a partial grant and the table below shows some typical examples of the amount to pay after the grant has been applied.
Free Insulation grants will not last forever. The current scheme is due to end in 2011, although a one year extension has been announced. It is estimated that all funding for loft and cavity wall insulation will cease completely by 2015. Grants can also stop and start, particularly on the free schemes. In 2006, many installers could not obtain partial grant funding. Apply now while grants are still available and waiting times are low.
Free insulation grants are available now but they could end any time soon. If you think you might be eligible for loft insulation or cavity wall insulation with a free insulation grant then please fill in the form on the contact page and a home energy surveyor will contact you within 24 hrs. We look forward to hearing from you in the future.
